Food Pantries

Overview

Access to nutritious food is vital for every member of our community. Several organizations and churches across the county operate food pantries to help individuals and families in need. These local pantries provide free groceries, household items, and other essentials on a regular basis.

If you or someone you know is experiencing food insecurity, please reach out to one of the food pantries listed below.

How Food Pantries Work

  • Who can receive food: Most pantries serve residents of the county regardless of income, but some may ask for proof of residency or ID.
  • When to visit: Hours vary by location — many are open weekly or bi-weekly.
  • What to bring: A photo ID, proof of address (such as a utility bill), and reusable bags (if available).
  • Emergency assistance: If you are in immediate need, contact one of the locations listed or call 2-1-1 for referral to the nearest open pantry.

How You Can Help

  • Donate non-perishable food items: Canned meats, rice, beans, peanut butter, and baby formula are always in demand.
  • Volunteer your time: Help with sorting, distribution, or client assistance.
  • Give financially: Even small donations help food pantries purchase bulk goods from regional food banks.
